"There ain't no such thing as a bad real estate market"
Sure, the environment can be tumultuous.
If your mind is right, and you do the right things consistently, things happen!
You can decide TODAY that TODAY is the LAST day you're going to keep on doing the same things and expecting different results (The classic definition of insanity).
Once you know how to "do" Real estate sales/consulting, I am a firm believer that you could quite literally strap a parachute on your back and hop out of a plane ANYWHERE and build a successful business . . . and it might be easier than what you're doing now, because the heat is ON . . . With no established networks and nothing with you other than knowledge of the business, you would simply HAVE to do the right things - or starve!
That's kind of a Draconian approach . . . but if you are flailing away in your current market and feel like you are moving backwards in your career, perhaps Draconian is your best path. I'm certain there's a parachute jump school not far from your home.
There IS another way . . .
If you don't like the literal "Parachute" fix, how 'bout this? . . .
Do today as you would do any other Monday. Soak into your head how it feels and get a good grip on what it is like to be you. Think about what could be better?
When you go to bed, resolve to yourself that you are going to take a little trip in the morning - a PARACHUTE TRIP!
A parachute trip INTO YOUR OWN MARKET!
When you wake up tomorrow morning . . .
Make the leap!
Erase your chalkboard and begin anew . . .
A FANTASTIC business for you is right in your own back yard.
Attack this with the same excitement you would have as a newby in ANY town . . . Like a kid in a candy store.
Call everyone you know and let them know you have just dropped into town (They'll think you're a bit off, but no worries) and are working on building your real estate sales business and am 100% committed to finding success because there is NO "Plan B"
Then . . . get to know your market.
Drive around
Preview every house on the market
Meet LOTS of new people
Do ALL of the "Touristy" things there are to do in your town.
Visit all of the malls and shopping centers - and talk to people.
This is a brave new world.
