Beachfest 2008 with Andrew Palau

It has been over 5 years since the original Beachfest with Luis Palau came to Myrtle Beach. This year on June 13th & 14th, the Palau family is bringing their free festival back to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Activities for this event include: Action Sports, a Family Fun Zone, and live music by top Christian Artists.

Some of the action sports activities include:

  • Professional BMX star Mike Mancuso
  • Skateboarding by Jud Heald & his team
  • Motocross stunts by Riders for Christ

In the Family Fun Zone, kids can sing & play with characters from Veggietales, soar high in the air on inflatables, do all sorts of crafts, get their faces painted, or play a carnival type game.

This free event also features live performances by some of the most popular Christian artists today. Performances include:

Mercy Me

TobyMac

Hawk Nelson

Mandisa

So, be sure to mark your calendars to be at this totally free event. It will be located where Myrtle Square Mall used to be.

Andrew- I went to the original Beachfest back several years ago, and it was amazing...there were about 75,000 at the original Beachfest...who knows what this year will bring!

Duane- me too!  I remember the last time they held this event, it was so hot!  and it was out in a field where it had not rained in weeks, so it was hot, and so much dust in the air...I came home and had to shower to remove the half inch of dust from my skin!

This was my first time going to Beachfest and it will not be my last! I had a great time seeing Hawk Nelson and Mercy Me in concert for the first time! Man what and awesome time I had! I cant wait til next year!
