As many of you know over the years I have been "preaching" that Playa Del Rey, CA is the best kept secret in the beach communities adjacent to Los Angeles, CA. Many looked at me as if I was crazy. Few friends believed me others just wondered....
Then came a new term a few years ago "Silicon Beach" the arrival of Google, Yahoo and Facebook to Los Angeles and vicinity. Go figure they agreed with me and look what happened to the price points:)
So with the above numbers may I say "I told you so", interestingly this is hard to fathom, but it is in line now with the other beach communities such as Marina Del Rey, Venice and Santa Monica condominium price points.
Not only are the price points in line but so are the Days On Market. All these beach side communities are on fire and as soon as a listing comes on the market there are numerous buyers ready to bid on them.
As you can see inventory is very tight hence not surprisingly it is and has been a seller's market for the past three years. So if you are considering stepping into the Playa Del Rey Condominium Market you need to be ready. Proof of Funds, Pre-Approval letter and a clear understanding that you need to give your best offer in the first round if you want to be considered for getting a Counter Offer.
