Tammy Lankford, I'm glad you found the humor in it .  You are right, it's possible the author of the tag line doesn't know the difference between a magazine and a clip (although there are a lot of gun owners in this state), but clip is a lot catchier than "microchips, potato chips and ammo magazines" lol -Kasey

Debe Maxwell, CRS you are right, it has gotten people talking!  We have a huge influx of people moving here.  The Boise area has a projection of a million people by 2020 or something like that.  When we were younger it was a source of pride for us Idahoans that in the entire state there were less than a million people and only one area code for the whole state.  Times are changing! -Kasey

Nina Hollander the state is gorgeous.  Just make sure if you do visit driving across southern Idaho on I-84 isn't the only part of Idaho you see.  That's boring, flat desert for the most part and is not indicative of what the rest of the state is like, but is the portion most folks drive through passing through by freeway. -Kasey

Georgie Hunter R(S) 58089 I think a certain segment of the population will appreciate the reference to guns/ammo and a certain segment may be turned off by it, though IAR's point was that we aren't just all about guns here, despite that being a common perception and a good portion of the population does carry. I can assure you we are a very friendly bunch here and I have relo clients from all over the country telling me how friendly and hospitable we are here. Here's a hello from me!  -Kasey

I may have overshot on the 1M by 2020 Debe Maxwell, CRS (I forget it is 2017 and that is only 3 years away!!).  I read something about it coming up here soon, but that's a bit unrealistic and I can't find the article I read about it. Maybe it was 2025.  Boise city proper still only has about 225k people, but the entire Treasure Valley - the Boise-Nampa Metro Area/Treasure Valley has about 665k.  But, I did read something that we gained 30,000 over the course of 1 year.  Still, it's growing at an outrageous pace, the suburban sprawl, all the infill, commercial stuff going up everywhere, it's crazy.  We just got our 2nd area code (the state of Idaho, not the Boise area) - most people don't even know it exists yet.  I'm sort of sad.  I feel the way I felt when my small home town got a stop light when I was a kid, haha!  I'm not much for growth and change, but it's part of life and part of the business! -Kasey

Yep Nathan Gesner it's got people talking.  I think it's a creative slogan, just funny - we have a huge influx of Californians and some other states who may be taken about by a slogan about guns, but I think it's funny. -Kasey

It is clever Sharon Tara. I did think it may turn off a portion of the population - any mention of guns for some people is a turnoff, but I guess we are Idaho after all. -Kasey
