How You Treat Your Customers

“Treat your customers like lifetime partners.”

Michael LeBount American Business Author,

Former Management Professor at the University

of New Orleans

As I see it . . . . . . .

How you treat your customers

How you treat your customers . . . . will become the foundation for your future business opportunities.

Treat them with respect . . . . and they will respect you.

Show them that you care about them . . . . and they will become part of your sphere of influence.

Say what you’re going to do . . . . and do it with excellence.

Exceed their expectations . . . . and they will freely recommend you to their sphere of influence.

Go the extra mile for them . . . . and they will be there for you.

Be seen as a trusted advisor . . . . and they will look at you as a trusted professional.

Follow up with them . . . . and they will tell their friends about your service.

How you treat your customers today . . . . will determine the depth of your sphere of influence . . . . and your future business opportunities

Hi Lou -- this is a thoughtful and thought-provoking post about the importance of "the feeding and care" of our customers -- it's a partnership  that needs nurturing.

Good evening Lou Ludwig ,

Absolutely. Most salespersons have no idea about the CLTV of each customer. Many salespersons are simply order takers and are poorly trained, yet, it's the manager, Broker or company that's responsible for their actions, wouldn't you agree? Perform with excellence as you posted and good things will occur, we agree on that, don't we?

So, let's assume your customer has bought a home and your commission is $6k, most homeowners buy and sell about 4 times during their lifetime, so your opportunity is $24k. During that period, you get 4 referrals that you close at $6k each, so another $24k. Now that sum, CLTV is $48k. With 50 clients, your earning potential is $2.4m. Get 100 clients and your earning potential is doubled, but only if using the advice from your post. So, truly a great post.

Lou I guess I am late to this party:)) I treat all my clients:

Treat them with respect . . . . and they will respect you.

Show them that you care about them . . . . and they will become part of your sphere of influence.

 and they do reciprocate, Endre

"Lifetime Partners" .... who doesn't like the sound of that, Lou Ludwig?  It's the right thing to do, but the reward certainly makes the mindset and effort worth it.

Thanks for the important reminder ...
