What Single Word Describes YOU?

I recently reviewed the bios and Q&A on each of our 40-under-40 winners in the Charlotte Business Journal. Each of them was asked to share one word that described what they felt made them successful.

I found it so refreshing to read their descriptive terms such as tenacity, integrity, driven, bold, fearless, loyal, creative, passionate, driven, loyal, authentic, funny, fun-loving, passionate, loyal, innovative, competitive, leader, thinker, dedicated, dogged, leader, loyal, determined, motivated, determined, blessed, busy, down-to-earth, striving, optimistic, determined, motivated, grateful, passionate, resourceful...

Adjectives for Success

Does just one of these traits best describe you? It certainly works for them! One word that I didn't see used was commitment. (I added it to the graphic.)  In my opinion, if you are committed to focus on any of the behaviors described by any of the other adjectives used by these 40-under-40 winners, success is sure to follow!

What single word describes you and why do you think you embody that behavior?

That is a tough list. At first I thought fearless because I will do just about anything. But then I decided, no, perhaps authentic is better. A seller told me a few days ago that I seemed like a real person to her. I think she was saying I am authentic.

The word that pops out at me is authentic - people say to me often one of these words -  honest, friendly, warm and genuine. Kind of like you really are who you say you are!!  Well yeah - who else would I be - LOL. We had fun with it the other night when I was meeting buyers that I hadn't met (other than online) at a home with Gary. The very upbeat guy walks in the door saying Hi Anna Banana - but it was Gary.  I came out of the kitchen and said - guess you thought I changed a lot. We all laughed!

I love the one who said down to earth because that one is different from the rest. I bet whoever said that will be still here in 20 years.

I would say that caring describes me well, but it obviously isn't a trait that leads to big sales, haha.

I would say for me loyal but I have been called "sweet" a lot but don't know that would work well in RE.

I will avoid restricting myself to a one word description. I am so much more than what one word can describe.  I guess we can sum that up to "unlimited"

Debe at the risk of my head exploding I would say if I can only use one word it would be knowledgeable.

I'd say I have a bit of a "lack of" committment.

I know I need to do it.

I just don't get it done.

My coach would like to ring my neck if that would be legal and allowed!

Good morning, Debe Maxwell, CRS I'd have to say the one word would be "consistency".... I keep pounding away at it, until it stops working.... and it hasn't stopped yet.... but there are days when I wish it would....

Well I'd like to say "down to earth" except it's more than one word!  Did you know the name George (Georgie, Georgina, Georgia...) stem from Earth Lover so I guess I come to it naturally.
