Today, I experienced one of the most beautiful sunsets in Hollywood after 26 years. There appears to be a magic that occurs after all the rain we have been experiencing these last couple of weeks. The magic shows up in the many sunsets and rainbows which appear for just minutes and then disappear.

This photo was taken from the beach facing west towards the Intracoastal Waterway. Sometimes we just need to take a moment and enjoy the gift of beauty that surrounds us. As I was walking from the beach towards the Intracoastal Waterway, several cars stopped to sit back and take in the breathtaking colors as they swept through the sky.
All along the broadwalk which is about 2 .5 miles, people were jogging, bicycling or sitting and dining at the many restaurants which face the ocean. It is a beautiful car free expansive place to dance, eat and play until all hours of the morning.
On this night, I chose to walk along the shore which was still and very blue. The air was fresh, breezy and peaceful. Couples, families and many children sat as the waves rolled in and the night began.
Once you walk further down the beach, the nightife and music take over. For me, after a long day at work, this is the way to find one's zen and inner peace to start the next day anew.
If you have not been here, it is a wonderful place to visit when you come to Ft. Lauderdale. It is only ten minutes away (without traffic) to Hollywood Beach, Florida.
