September Will Be Here Before We Know It
September 13-16 is the annual convention of the Tennessee REALTORS®. It is being held again at The Peabody Hotel in Memphis TN. For those of you that don't know about the Peabody, it is known as the duck hotel with the duck march twice a day. It has elegant furnishings and duck accents in all the rooms.
There will be committee meetings, business meetings, educational seminars, lots of networking and getting to know fellow REALTORS® from across the state. Each year the venue is different with 2 years conventions held instate and one year out of state.
The convention starts on a Wednesday and many of the committee meetings are open to all members. It ends Friday evening with the Gala Event and Dinner and Installation of the new officers. I will be representing the Clarksville Association of REALTORS® as a State Director and as President of my Association. Through this role I have gotten to know many other Presidents and gained valuable knowledge that we can use at our Association.
Registration has begun and open to all Tennessee REALTORS®. The convention fee is very reasonable and the hotel will have discounted room rates.
There are many famous sights to see while in Memphis. Elvis Presley's Graceland is a must see, Sun Studios, The Pyramid now home of Bass Pro, Beale Street with lots of Jazz and some of the best barbecue in the south.
We make time to see some of these and this year one of the networking events will be at the famous B. B. King's. They are closing to the public just for us. Memphis is a beautiful city right on the Mississippi River.
