Realtor.com -vs- ActiveRain.com

After mulling around in the rain network for the past 3 days, I have come to realize that this network of Realtors,
Lenders and affiliates has become quite valuable to me.  I am already getting referrals and doing business with
others that are in and out of my area.

The amount of resources available here, and because the knowledge of the Real Estate Industry is "SO WELL"
represented here, do you think that consumers will catch on and come here to ActiveRain.com to find their
Realtor? Thousands of consumers go to Realtor.com to search and find proerties for sale, do you think that one
day, Buyers and Sellers will come here to find their Realtors, Lenders, Title Companies etc?

I know I would. How big will ActiveRain really get and is there capacity to grow as large as realtor.com?

Seems to me a site like this can offer so much more than just looking at a list of houses. This seems to offer
more value to the consumer who is shopping not just for a house, but for a great realtor.  In my past 3 days as
a newbie, I have discovered a fantastic network of not just good agents, but some really great people.  It's not
just a blogging spot for the bored, this is really great stuff.

I'm hooked and sold, what's next for the future of ActiveRain?

ActiveRain is a great place to network. I have received and given several referrals and look forward to many more.

Good Luck!

Could not agree more, Brad. I am in my second week on AR and have already started to build some great associations across the Country as well as recieving 2 referrals.

My website is also new and I have already started to notice the upward movement in the rankings!

The hulk vs the thing...

Who would win?

I read that one when I was a kid, it always ends up in a tie...

Realtor.com still has the onus of saying REALTOR - a word a lot of people don't trust these days...

ActiveRain, though, can get you seen on many other sites which is very important

I did a search on Microsoft's Live Search... I was #2

Totally agree Brad....this is going to be HUGE. I think right now that the sky is the limit. I too am very impressed with the quality of people here and the relationships I'm building with them. Only time will tell where AR will go !

I like the AR community for useful information. I have been doing this for sometime now about a month or so I guess? I haven't been as lucky as you! I haven't seen one referral from this yet. I have had clients comment on the site and they think its wonderful place to get info on different areas.

If anyone can look at my work on AR and offer some solution to improve my referral rate I WOULD greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Hi Brad,

Welcome aboard.  I've only been here a couple of months myself.  So far I've learned a great deal from the generosity of others.  With very few exceptions, it's been a very nurturing, positive experience.  At this point I've also experiences greater ranking for my website and one referral.

Not doubt, it's continuing to grow rapidly.
