Like many of these silly little daily holidays, there isn't a specific reason for why Pink Day is June 23rd... it just is!
Putting some pink in your attire can certainly catch a few eyes. If you usually stick to darker colors, then a compliment or two will likely come your way. With the summer heat, it can't hurt to shy away from the sun-absorbing colors like black and try on some pink. 
If you're still on the fence with celebrating Pink Day, then here's another idea. Pink is usually the color assosicated with breast cancer awareness. Some people take the day as another chance to spread awareness and show support for anyone who may be undergoing treatment, someone who survived, or someone who passed from it.
It is up to you how you would like to celebrate the day-- there's no wrong way to wear Pink!
