What are you seeking?
What is your untapped potential?
I'm just thinking out loud here, Ted Talks inspired me a bit today while hiking.
Don't pass up the opportunity to do good for someone,
because you're too busy seeking the opportunity to be doing something great for you. Look for opportunities (those impulses you feel sometimes) to do random acts of kindness to full dedication to your cause, community or peeps.
Don't wait to become a millionaire before you start helping other people; if you have something to give, give it now.
It's not always money, it's your time, your talent, or just a empathetic ear and so on.
Jim Rohn says "Become a Millionaire for what it makes of you."
It's not the money, it's the work and the journey along the way that makes you more of who you are; a better version of you. I say "more of who you are" as a cautionary reminder. An a broke jerk becomes a rich jerk, the money amplifies the man behind the money. A poor man that's a giver, becomes a rich man that's a giver - amplified.
There's a river flowing in front of you, the river is life, it may be safer standing on the banks but for me, I had to jump in.
I'm a flawed man with some decisions that came with regrets in my life, but I don't act like the man I was or even the man I am; I do my best to be like the man I know I'm capable of being... the man I want to be. But just like Jim says, the journey to being that man is what develops the character, it's never a sense of arrival. I'll take pause to enjoy it, but as a student of life, for life...I'll also be striving to be my full potential, not settle for "good enough".
