How Home Sellers Can Win Over Millennial BuyersHow Home Sellers Can Win Over Millennial Buyers

Millennial buyers are starting to compete in and hold a large part of the real estate market. Their wants are much different than their parents. Appealing to their tastes requires a different approach. If you are thinking about selling your South Charlotte house for sale anytime soon, it’s important to keep these preferences in mind. Read on to learn how home sellers can win over Millennial buyers and get the best bid for their homes!

Highlight Your Desirable Location

Location is huge for Millennials. At the top of their list includes walkable communities where shopping and dining is just a few minutes away. For example, if you are putting your home for sale in Southpark on the market, it’s a must to focus on the amazing location!

If you are in the suburbs, make sure to point out the closest restaurants, shopping centers, bars and schools to capitalize as much as possible on this feature.

An Open Floor Plan

Millennials generally crave open floor plans. Many in this generation are all too familiar with living in confined spaces such as small apartments and tiny dorm rooms. They prefer more space and don’t like layouts that are sectioned off too much.

If your house fits the bill, make sure to point out the airy quality and entertainment friendly spaces offered throughout!

Incorporate Technology

Millennials grew up with technology and it is simply a necessity. A simple addition would be to add a programmable thermostat in a house for sale in Providence Plantation that can connect to a smart phone. However, you want to add technology without it requiring too many updates.

Charlotte is a Millennial Magnet

Finally, it’s important to note that Charlotte is ranked as one of the top 5 cities attracting Millennials according to RISMedia. Approximately 14 percent of Charlotte’s population is between the ages of 25 and 34. More are relocating to the Queen City every year! Therefore, it is wise to appeal as much as possible to this demographic.

I love studying demographics. I agree with the technology. A lot of them are gamers and want certain kinds/lots of outlets for that.

They also crave experiences more than things, so you are also right about having their home close to everything. They are also more environmentally conscious, so incorporating stuff like reclaimed wood, etc. is a good idea.
