enfin... The homestaging website for En Toute Serenite is on line. please tell me ...

...what you think of it.

It was tough to complete it as I don t have much projects to show, having just started my firm from scratch here in France. Pictures before/after are mostly  from my places ( I have bought, remodeled and sold several places since a few years) and a friend I helped in selling a large propertie here (I did not know, two years ago, that is was actually a real job ! he sold it for 2.3 M euros, instead of 1.9, first price given by 2 real estates agents, thanks to my huge home staging, including the garden!)

So please tell me what you think

. of the website

. of the examples given...

(sorry, the text is in french!)

With your professionnal eye, are the "after" settings really good in home staging terms (I think so, but one never sees his own mistakes !!) ?

thanks for your help to old europe, slowly awakening to home staging !

and have a nice day

Sylvie

Hello, Sylvie!   It took some determination to find your before and after shots, here is a more direct link to the page in your site,  you might get some better responses with this.

As for your before and after works, Some of the transformations were so drastic, I really had to look hard to tell that they were even the same room! They looked great!  Now keep in mind that I have no idea what the fashion sense is on your side of the pond ~ but don't be afraid of color. White can look stark and institutional if used too much, a soft taupe paint in any of these rooms would have warmed up the photos a bit.  Keep it up, I can't wait to see more!

thanks for your excellent idea to put a link directly to the before/after part. I changed it in the post itself to make things easier.

and thanks for your nice comment. well, all those pictures are real, no cheating.

And I take note of the idea of more colors in subtle tones !

thanks again !

Oui, c'est bon Sylvie! Je vous espere tous les meillures!

Is that even understandable? I haven't taken French in years, but generally I wish you all the best in your endeavors to bring home staging to France.

My one suggestion would be MORE PILLOWS. The bedroom picture could use some added texture and "oomph"! Maybe that's an American thing? Do what's right for you over there by all means!

Bonjour Sylvie!

Your work is merveilleux. Not sure if that is correct le francais? I agrree w/ Connie in above about warming up the walls, also I would enlarge your pictures on your site if that is all possible.

So glad you are here! There is always something I'm learning when I log in to this site. Like you, I never knew I could make a living doing what I have been doing for the last 20 years with my own homes. Likewise for friends and family.

I know another Sylvie living in Paris and another couple living in the St Jean de la Ruelle area.

Au revoir!

Hi Silvie, I agree with Cynthia...enlarge those pictures.  People like to 'see' the changes more than read them.

Silk greenery would soften things up and they take up space so you can eliminate the need for small accessories.  They work well on kitchen counters, bathroom vanities, as centerpieces, on end tables, etc.

I can't 'speak' in french...I dropped out in college after 3 classes.  =(    Have a great day!  I look forward to more.
