My home is ramping up for a busy few days. Family is coming home to celebrate the Fourth of July. That means learning the times of all the local Greater Sacramento firework displays and festivities. There is no shortage of fun packed things to do , no matter which community you live.
I had to chuckle this morning, when my phone rang at 6:30 am. It was an old friend on the line. "Myrl, I have company coming to my place for the 4th of July. Where are all the fireworks displays going to be?" This is a good friend, who understood when I sarcastically responded, "And you are calling me at the crack of dawn to ask me this question - WHY?"
"Come on Myrl, you know you are my personal walking encyclopedia, and you can Google things up faster than I can," she responded. "And everyone knows you're usually awake by 4:30 am."
OK - So I'm a sucker for flattery.
