Montana Department of Revenue Reinvestment LogoMontana Department of Revenue Director, Dan Bucks has good news about Montana's economy and housing sector in 2008: Montana's strong economy has served as a buffer, helping Montana housing prices remain fairly strong against the rest of the country. "On the whole, Montana's economy, Bozeman's economy are strong, and that helps to weather the effects of national trends," Bucks stated to a group of Bozeman real estate agents recently.

Buck's Montana Dept. of Revenue office is poised at the edge of a reappraisal of all Montana property values, done every 6 years. Bucks, said, "the governor is committed ... there will be no property tax increases due to reappraisal on a statewide basis."
