Do you remember the TV ad for 'Rolaids' that posed the question...How do you spell relief? Of course, the answer was R O L A I D S!

With gas prices at almost immoral highs...we can still apply that wisdom...after all, isn't that what skyrocketing gas prices have done...Reduced our 'ROLLS'...our money rolls! Depleted our reserves and budgets...So what we need is ROLL AIDS... 

My previous two posts on 'gas prices' tried to lay out the dilemma...with hints of how to 'attack' the problem so as to attain a solution. Be sure and read all the comments as well! Since I think that forces beyond 'human' power to overcome are at work here...that brings us to the real good news...at least if you're Christian...THE BATTLE IS NOT OURS...IT IS THE LORD'S!!!

If you don't believe me, see for yourself...look at the last Book of The Bible...the Book of Revelation...WE WIN!!!

So what do we Christians and other believers in God need to be doing?

Pray, Fast, and Work...

Pray...for God's will to be done, with expectant faith and trust in Him!

Fast...give up something we like or are attached to...to show our solidarity with Him!

Work...God has given us tremendous gifts, skills, resources, blessings, wisdom, virtues, etc...good stewardship demands we apply them for the good of all those in our communities...our neighbors...with tenderness and compassion...in a Christlike fashion...

Tough problems (burdens) become easy to carry in 'light' of God's promises!!!

Agree with me, in prayer, peace, and goodwill...then in humility and expectant faith watch as God brings forth a miracle in our very midst!!! Keep the faith!

There is plenty of oil in the world...God put it there...much more than we need until the next technology comes on the scene...the one and only thing we lack is H O P E...that's how you spell relief!!!

God made the world...and God doesn't make junk!!!

I was just reading a USGS report about oil in the US. We have lots. Canada does too. Between us we have something like a 200 year supply. I'll try to find the report.

Fran, I too am a believer in hope. In your third installment on this topic some mentioned even up to a 200 yr supply of oil. If that were the case higher prices just don't seem justified. Great Louis Armstrong video, one of the older ones. Keep the faith, we'll get through this rough spot. I'm going to have to pick up the WalMart workers around me and drop them off at work on my way across town at this rate. We're all in this together.

What a great and true post. Now all we need to do is have God tell the morons in Washington to dig up the oil that we have in this country.
