This weekend I visited a friend in the hospital. The first thing I noticed surrounding the flagpole was the knockout roses and our flag flying high. Although the wind wasn't cooperative, after a dozen shots or so, I was able to capture the flag almost fully extended. I knew the flag would be todays feature for Almost Wordless Wednesday.

Oh, that's a GREAT shot, Pat! Every time I see an American flag, I want to stop and shoot a photo - that and flowers! And, you captured both! I'm a big fan of knockout roses too!
I have them along my front as a hedge. They're hard to see in this picture but, they bloom for months and I just think they're so beautiful - and easy to maintain too!
