How would you like to taste the flavors of over twenty countries in one weekend?  It's possible!  Make plans to attend the annual Ethnic Enrichment Festival in Swope Park, August 18-20, 2017.

This huge event represents cultures from dozens of international countries, including Sweden, Scotland, France, China, Mexico, India, Croatia, Ecuador, Germany, Egypt and Russia--to name a few.  Food is a big part of the festival--as each country sets up special tasty goodies from their homeland.  You can choose from hundreds of specialty foods:  epanadas, kobasa, crepes, gyros, chicken curry, mango shake, apple studel, fried plantains, tacos, and so much more.   There are various dance and musical performances throughout the weekend and craft booths to browse.

I find that children really seem to like this event.  Many of the performers wear colorful native clothing and the music is so lively with a steady beat.  It's a diverse crowd with all kinds of races and ethnicities joined in one place for one purpose:  to promote their culture and have a great time!

Hours for the Ethnic Enrichment Festival run as follows:

Fri Aug 18      6pm-10pm

Sat Aug 19      Noon-10pm

Sun Aug 20     Noon-6pm.

Parking is free, and it's a nomimal charge to get in--just $5 for anyone 13 or older.  One more thing--no pets allowed.  Travel the world...in a few hours...by attending the Ethnic Enrichment Festival!

Raising entrance fee from $3 to $5? The ethnic festival in WYCO is FREE. Seems like you are trying to make this unaffordable for some.
