I really like the motion detector idea. It enhances safety when walking around at night.
Lisa, I have motion sensing lights all over my house. I love them. I do have dimmers strageically placed, but the LED lamps have made a pretty big difference too. Low current draw, and they last for ever. I have one that is in its 6th year of not being turned off. I've left it on to see how far it would go.
Lisa I have a motion detector in my office which turns on the lights when I come in the room. BUT it also turns off the lights when it does not detect any motion. Sounds like a good thing, but what happens is when I am sitting at my desk after a few minutes if I have not gotten up and walked around it turns off the lights. So when it turns off the lights I start to FLAP my arms to great motion for the lights to turn on again. Anyone looking into my office when I am doing that must think I have lost it ........ LOL
Thanks for the information, Lisa. I do like my motion sensor lights outside, but have not installed them in my office yet. I will put that on my list.
Lisa great and valuable information to all home owners, we have motion sensor light all around our home and not only is it economical it is also a great security feature. Inside the house we have many dimmer switches not enough though:)Endre
