In Memory of Sarah Balmforth - Hit and Run Fatality in Exeter RI
There is a time and place for everything but tragedies that happen close to home to my good clients hits home harder than ever in RI. Sarah Balmforth was the young daughter of my client and family that left this world way before she was allowed to give all she had to the people around her. Walking down South Road in Exeter, RI last week she was struck and killed by a driver who left the scene of the accident and left her there to die.
She was well known for her farm and her work with rescue animals and was loved by all she knew. I have known her mom and dad for years and they were blessed to have a daughter like Sarah.
Police have no leads unfortunately. However, there is evidence that the car and the driver that struck her was driving a later model Wrangler Jeep between 1997 -2006 with front end passenger side damage (especially car light damage). Someone must know about this car and needs to report it and Call Lt. Robert Creamer of Rhode Island State Police at 401-444-1046 with information.. There is a $10,000 reward as of now for information leading to the arrest of this individual who committed this hit and run fatality.
There is a thing called heart, soul and conscience we all have. It is hoped that whoever did this act can not live with the pain and comes forward. It could have been your child or sibling...how would you feel if the driver did not come forward?
