My husband and myself are preparing our home for a retirement party for one of our friends in Round Rock, Tx. We decided it was time to upgrade some light fixtures, spruce up the flower beds, add some color to the front beds, trim the trees all the way around our home, paint inside and paint the front door, to name a few. Needless to say, we have spent every weekend and extra free moments to do so as the party draws near.
So, to start, I called my painter to come by and tell me what needed to be done, which holes he could patch, etc. Now, I have used this gentleman many times and refer him to my clients often, because he is sooo good at what he does. He and his crew are so professional and do a real quality job. My clients love him for the same reason I do. He showed up on time (as usual) and did the work at hand. I paid him more than he had quoted and added a tip. Everytime I have used him or referred him, he always tells me NO Problem, I will take good care of you or your clients.
As he was leaving, he came back to thank me graciously and said. "I have a home to sell, would you list it?" I nearly fell down! One, I had no idea he owned a home (we'd never discussed it) but I realized you give what you get... Two..I was very honored that he trusts me as much as I trust him.
Bottom line to this blog - you never know what you mean to the people you touch and or meet. Don't rule anyone out. Have a great day and be kind to everyone you see, you never know when it will come back to you and that is the fun part.
That is so true. We are always on in this job and building relationships and trust are key to our success. Good luck in selling his home.
