Discovering New Favorite Craft Beers at Victory Brewing Company
Chef Dolores and I were on a day trip to Wilmington, Delaware to visit Winterthur. After a garden tour, a museum tour, lunch and then a tour of the mansion, we decided to stop at Kennett Square, Pennsylvania for a beer tasting at Victory Brewing Company at 650 West Cypress Road, Kennett Square, PA 19348. This was our first visit and we will definitely return since we are frequently in the area. This is a large facility with great food service and very long bar with a selection of thirty beers on tap.
They offer a flight of five beers and you can choose from any of the draft beers. All of our selections were good and we recommend this as a travel destination if you are going to be in the area.
One of my favorites was the Vital IPA, an Indian Pale Ale with 6.5% Alc. by Vol. Click on the link to learn more about this selection. Dolores really liked the Victory Helles Lager (4.8%) and the Hop Devil IPA (6.7%). I must mention that our food selection during the beer tasting was their wonderful Sweet Potato Frites with a coconut curry sour cream dipping sauce.
Chef Dolores says that you should definitely sample the Blackboard #6 Peach Belgium Blonde with Coriander (7.5%) as a special treat.
