This is going to be a multi-chapter story about what must be one of the worst rental properties to try to manage.
The Lindens is located near the center of the city of Peterborough in England.
The property is what is called an H.M.O. or House in Multiple Occupation. That simply means it is one house, or dwelling, but is rented out by the room and the kitchen, hallways and typically the bathrooms are common areas.
One inherent characteristic of this type of property is that it attracts very low income, often no income, tenants. That fact, in and of itself, is not a problem. In fact, it provides a good housing option for those people.
This particular H.M.O. property ended up, through certain oversights during the pre-screening process, with a couple of bad tenants who provided no end of excitement.
This will be a story with everything you would expect from a proper reality TV show. Sex, drugs, violence, prostitution and of course... The Spaghetti Incident.
The two main characters, or in literary terms the antagonists, in this story will be called 11 and 15 in order to avoid using names.
