Arabian food overload in Jaffa Israel

By

I had to share about the food I had even though I can't remember the name of the restaurant. I will look it up and hopefully find it. I ordered a prickly pear with cheese appetizer because that isn't served in Oklahoma. For an entree I normally don't eat meat but when they have an Arabian version of Osso Bucco you have to count me in just for the curiosity. Both choices were incredible but what I didn't know about is below. Once you order this is what they bring you before the appetizer. Had I known this I would have brought an extra stomach. It has been two days and I am still not hungry.

Wow! I would certainly gain a few pounds on a trip like this.

Good morning again Joe.

If that is before the appetizer I want to see the appetizer.  My goodness I would be full, no need for the meal

That looks delicious, yes that would be enough to eat without an entree.

Joe,

That looks like a Mezze bar or appetizer bar.  We had some great Lebanese food in Paris...A

That food looks scrumptious, Joe.  You'd have to count me in.  During my college years, I had a Lebanese friend.  From him, I learned to cook several dishes.

Well, I guess that's the economical way to visit Israel - dine there and you won't have to buy another meal for days!  Looks DIVINE!  So glad to see you're enjoying your trip, Joe!

Hi Joe

It's been such fun to read about your time in Jerusalem, and especially to enjoy the photos. Looks like a wonderful, and filling, meal!

Joe Pryor - Something tells me this won't be the last time you visit Israel! After you get back to Oklahoma, it won't be long before you're craving the food and the experience once more.

I'm happy for you!

Got to love Israeli food. Some great salads and pickled veggies to get you started. Then, of course, you add in the fresh bread....

Did you find the name of the restaurant?
