"Exploration is the engine that drives innovation.

Innovation drives economic growth.

So let's all go exploring."

--- Edith Widder

Something fun and educational to see now through September 4, 2017, at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science located at 2201 North Field Street, Dallas, Texas (214) 428-5555 is the Maya Hidden Worlds Revealed Exhibit.

To succeed in any culture or society anywhere in the world innovation and discovery is a must. What better way to learn about civilization than visiting the traveling Maya: Hidden Worlds Revealed Exhibit at the Perrot Museum of Nature and Science. Here you will discover:

  • Master Builders
  • Playing for your Life
  • A story in Pictures
  • History in Stone
  • Charting the Heavens
  • Unlocking the Past

Innovation is not a dying art, it's what keeps the economy growing, cities thrive, people problem solve and make the world a better place. It's inspiration, perspiration, motivation, determination, and persuasion working together simultaneously.

To make America greater than it has ever been and be a leader in technology, health care, education, defense, and global telecommunications it's going to take educated minds with innovated ways to figure out how to improve their performance, discovering, findings and analysis, saving natural resources, and bolstering their personal relationships with all people by working together towards a common goal.

The Mayan's clearly earned respect. They were skilled in the arts of survival but something happened. What can we learn from the Mayan Tribe? This exhibit is sure to inspire and may provide answers to burning questions about the process of creation and survival. Destruction is not an option.

"A noble purpose inspires sacrifice,

stimulates innovation and encourages preservation."

--- Gary Hamel

What a glorious Friday post to read! I love your tip for the day as well. I did some meditating on top of a Mayan ruin in Guatemala as the sun came up. What a marvelous experience. You took me back there. WOW.

Thank you for this! I hope you've seen it for yourself.

Patricia,

The smarter we think we are, the more we find that our ancestors had already thought of these things...When I saw your title, Maya, I assumed that you were going to talk about the Hindu interpretation of the word, which is "illusion or magic!".  In a sense you did.  Happy Friday.  A

I would love to see this exhibit.  We toured a lot of the old ruins in Mexico, in the Yucatan, one year.  Very intriguing culture and history.  So much more to be discovered.

Georgie Hunter R(S) 58089 - I toured the Maya ruins in Mexico once but it was several years ago. It truly is very unique and I believe a spiritual place to visit. They were so smart!

George Souto - They were so intelligent! It's hard to believe someone from so long ago could have achieved so much in their lifetime. The ruins left an indelible mark on my heart! They made a signification contribution to mankind.

Ron and Alexandra Seigel - Our ancestors and the people who lived before us, regardless of race, nationality, ethnicity, religion, or political affiliation were very significant in shaping our world. We only think because we have so much technology we are so smart. The older I get, the more I watch the Media, the more I realize how stupid and naive people can be.

Gayle Rich-Boxman Fishhawk Lake Real Estate - I can't even imagine how thrilling it must have been for you to be "mediating on top of a Mayan ruin in Guatamala!" What an amazing and incredible experience! If you could go there today and I could too, would you meet me on top that Mayan ruin? We wouldn't even have to talk, but I know we'd share similar thoughts.
