What Is Summer Without A Rodeo?

July 18-22, 2017

Today marks the first day of the 102 annual Snake River Stampede. You don't want to miss it. It has evolved into more than just a rodeo and is rich with history and includes rodeo events, a parade, various breakfasts as well as entertainment. It is hosted at the Ford Idaho Center.

Gates open nightly at 5:30 with a pre-rodeo show at 6:45 and the main event beginning at 7:30.

Saturday, July 21st a matinee show for family day is held, beginning at 12:00 noon with a pre-rodeo show at 11:15. Children 21 and under are free this day.

Caldwell Night Rodeo

August 15-19, 2017

In it's 83rd year, the Caldwell Night Rodeo is a more traditional rodeo held at the Caldwell Night Rodeo Grounds (which also hosts the Canyon County Fair).

Rodeos are family friendly events and are a lot of fun. If you have never attended a rodeo before, be sure to check this one out. And if you are a rodeo fan, this one will not disappoint.

Gates open nightly at 5:00pm, the junior rodeo begins at 5:30pm and the main rodeo begins at 8:00pm.

What a fun event that must be. I have never been to one of these. My chiropractor in Los Angeles, used to travel to the rodeos to adjust the riders after and before their falls. She had great stories about the riders. A

Ron and Alexandra Seigel my dad is actually a chiropractor and when I was growing up his best friend was a cowboy named Guy (who had a dog named Dog) who road bucking broncos for a living during rodeo season. That career is not easy on the body. I can see why your friend traveled around adjusting the rodeo competitors. -Kasey
