ARE YOU A CANDIATE FOR INTRAOCULAR LENS?

Aging has it's drawbacks!  It seems when you reach 40 your eyesight starts failing!  I have always been farsighted, I could see far away, but not up close!

My eyesight continued to get worse, and,  being a Realtor, that is not a good thing!  To read a contract I wore contact lens, glasses and used a magnifying glass!  It was getting harder and harder to see!  I decided I had to do something!

I searched the internet and got the name of a wonderful doctor in Little Rock, Dr. Hampton Roy.  He evaluated my eyes and we discussed intraocular lens, I had never heard of them.  We set a date for the surgery and he inserted the permanent lens in my eyes.  After the surgery I had to wear dark glasses for one day.

The next day, I could see perfectly!  It was amazing, I could read small print!  I was so happy!  That has been probally five years ago and I have had no problems.  It has been a blessing!

If you have eye problems, talk to your doctor.  Intraocular lens may be the answer for you.  Just make sure you go to a qualified surgeon who has done alot of successful len implantation.  Good luck!

Mary thanks for the advice but I am going to stick with glasses a while longer.

Mary, I have the opposite problem, where I can see up close not far away.  A relative of mine had serious complications from eye surgery to correct his vision.  I will stick with my contacts because it just creeps me out to think about eye surgery.

John,

If all you need is glasses that is great!  I was at the point that I needed more than glasses, thanks for the response.

Karen,

Eye surgery is not for everyone, but I had gotten to the point that I couldn't see!  I was legally blind in my left eye.  Thanks for the response.

Mary, you are so fortunate to be able to see perfectly.  I've heard of Dr. Roy.

Dr. Roy is a great doctor and I am so glad I can see without help!  Thanks for the response.
