Guess who's coming to Tacoma Washington on July 20th at 8 p.m.

 

Why it's the one and only

 

 

As I grew up, I was lucky enough to be able to appreciate all music from classical to hard rock. My parents encouraged this and I get energy through music.

 

 Lynyrd Skynyrd is an American rock band best known for popularizing the Southern rock genre during the 1970s. Originally formed in 1964 as My Backyard in Jacksonville, Florida, the band was also known by names such as The Noble Five and One Percent, before finally deciding on "Lynyrd Skynyrd" in 1969. The band gained worldwide recognition for its live performances and signature songs "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Free Bird". At the peak of their success, two band members and a backup singer died in an airplane crash in 1977, putting an abrupt end to the band's most popular incarnation. The band has sold 28 million records in the United States.

Hi Paul... I can tell you're excited! Of course, I have no clue who this is... then again I hardly know anyone in the music scene after the 1960's and the disco scene in the 70's!

Paul S. Henderson, CRS, REALTOR®, ~ hi Paul... in 1952. As for the disco craze, I was at the Harvard Business School when it hit really big... and we would finish up our homework and then hit the discos for an hour or two to dance our you-know-what's off and relieve all the stress of the day. Those were fun times. But then, I also remember the Macarena in the late 1980's and dancing it in Monte Carlo's dance clubs.
