Earlier I posted a blurry picture of the new bird in my front yard. I found this little one on a butterfly bush that finally started to bloom in my side yard. It was impossible to get a good shot through my side side door but I did the best I could befor opening the door and watching this one and a friend take off.

I always enjoy watching birds in my backyard. I have 3-4 books that I use to look up Western species. This little bird would really catch my eye. It is so colorful!

Those pictures are much better!!! Such a great looking bird, I love the colors and it would certainly be a welcome sight to see outside of one's window!
