Mark Zuckerberg in Homer Alaska! Face to Face in Homer Alaska
Mark Zuckerberg CEO of Facebook was in Homer around the 4th of July. He first posted an
otter swimming by him in Kachemak Bay! That was a clue he was really in Homer. Otters are completely darling when they float by you, maybe give you a little wave! They treat everyone the same
Zuckerberg or John Doe they are pretty friendly adorable creatures.
The next Post was a beautiful Eagle in the Forest. Zuckerberg was really impressed with that moment… it is always impressive to be minding your own business in a forest and a huge eagle swoops in and lands in a tree in front of you… I always think it is a very good day when you can look an Eagle right in the eye!
Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla spent the weekend before the 4th in Homer and the Kachemak Bay.
Did some fishing, talked to some folks, kept a low profile. Homer has lots of people visit and we are
known to not bother the rich and famous, kind of like the otters we just treat everyone nice and
hope they enjoy their stay here.
He did have some interesting things to say about Alaska and some of our special ways we do things, including subsistence fishing. Alaska people do live a different life and we are proud of our state and our people. I am glad Mr Zuckerberg was able to see the beauty of our state and our people. Alaska is like no other place in the world and Homer was a very good choice for him and his wife to see and enjoy the Incredible beauty known as the Cosmic Hamlet by the Sea!
