CultureMap Houston recently posted an article listing some of the most expensive areas for renters in Texas, and, not surprisingly, Houston occupied 4 out of the top 10 locations. Here’s what we found:
The most expensive area code to rent in Houston is 77006, otherwise known to Houston residents as the Montrose area. This doesn’t surprise us considering that Montrose is one of the most centrally located areas to live in Houston, and is filled with shops, restaurants, and everything you could look for.
Area codes 77005, 77002, 77004 and 77019 took spots 8 through 11 on the list respectively. This, again, is not surprising since these locations are all extremely close to downtown and have a wide variety of shops, restaurants, parks, etc.
The top 5 ZIP codes were located in Austin and Dallas, which you can see here.
