Today, I had the pleasure of watching UFC fighters train at the UFC gym in New Hyde Park, NY. On July 22nd, 2017, Nassau Coliseum will be hosting the first ever UFC event on Long Island, NY.
I was able to snap some quick photos with Chris Weidman and Kelvin Gastelum (who by the way are the main cards for the evening). Chris Weidman is the local favorite as he grew up in Baldwin, NY. An interesting about Weidman, is that he worked as an informal UFC lobbyist to help the UFC organization receive approval for regulations in the New York Legislature last year after an intense efforts.
