Delray Beach- Afternoon Showers
The typical South Florida summer afternoon thunderboomers are here! They are, however, not limited to the afternoons. We’ve been seeing storm clouds on the horizon on our morning walks and often we can see the showers heading our way.
It’s been hard for all of us to focus on our walks because of the ongoing renovation of the boardwalk area.

There’s orange netting around the palm trees, chunks of concrete off to the side, and signs closing off large sections of the sidewalk.
This little guy seemed to be hanging out watching the construction or just trying to stay out of the way.

I’m not sure what the new boardwalk will look like but I understand we’re getting those parking kiosks that look a bit like R2D2 whereby you can pay with an app on your phone. This will allow beachgoers to add time to the meter while sitting at the beach, rather than run on the hot sand to try to feed the meter before the parking enforcers drive by.
