What is great customer service? It is what you want the client to think it is and it can be different for each client. Each client has his own definition of what customer service could be to them.
I make it a point to call all my clients on a Monday and give them a good, bad and ugly report on their listing. I also tell them what I am doing in the next 7 days to get their home notice more and more showings.
I try to wow all my clients and if I do a great job for them, I am sure to get referrals down the road from them.
I had a client that was having a hard time moving out on time after his closing, I made the effort to go to his house on a Friday night with extra boxes and even help loading his truck with furniture because his friends bail on him. Pick up 2 referrals within a year from his closing.
I have another client that needed information of painters and handymen, luck our board has a number of affiliate in their directory that I know and can recommend to them.
Of course I make it a point to call them every quarter now and also stay in touch with sports calendars and also Wall Calendars for the year.
The key is that 20% of all buyers use their past agent that help them the first time around. Keep making those connections with your past clients and give great service.
