We are not the most techie people you know.....and in fact

far from it...the easier and few clicks the better...writing attractive posts should not be a struggle...it should be a wonderful exercise in marketing, creativity, sharing....learning...all of the above !   We love to sprinkle

Photo collection1graphics throughout our posts....it's more attractive and fun to read we think....and hope you do as well.  If you want to put a graphic image right or left or center in a post...when you click the icon that says "insert image" there is also an "Advanced" tab at the top.   That drop down menu gives you  a choice of the position of the graphic so it won't always be in the middle and type can wrap around it like it does here...ez peazy......and more interesting  !

But we Digress.....Sometimes you have graphics that are in a PDF format and that will not work with ActiveRain....you choose it and get that RED LINE  that lets you know that the picture cannot be used on Active Rain in that format...oh Monkeysniffle...now what ?   Zamzar to the rescue...and it what we always refer to as "monkey proof" ....anyone can use it !

All you do is save your picture in the PDF or whatever format it is in to your documents or another folder where you can locate it.   Then go to Zamzar.Com  (It has kind of a magicial abra Cadabra ring to it !) Choose the picture you want to change and then choose the format you wish to have it become...CLICK and that's it...it is sent to your email and you can use it as you wish...it couldn't be easier !

It would not be often you would see a "techie tip" from the Hansons...they are more like the ones you get from Dorie Dillard  on Monday morning where we are pretty sure that there MAY be "Monkeys at work" on computers !  This is easy, you may actually find a use for it....and well worth a bookmark if you get stuck.

P.S. YES it IS FREE and subscriptions available as well

Hi Tony & Suzanne,

This is a great share and another way to do things. I use a Mac and have for 10+ years and there are also a number of ways on a Mac to save in different formats to work with AR as an image.

One tip on Mac. - Take the PDF and go to "Print"  in the file menu at the bottom on the left side is a button "PDF" go to the drop down and sometimes it allows you to save it in an image format.

Even easier is to create a screenshot by hitting 3 keys - (command - shift - 4) keys - a crosshair will come up and then paint the area you want to make a picture of. Then move it to your AR blog.
