SouthShore Bay is a Crystal Lagoons Community by MetroPlaces that is under construction Just East of I-75 on SR-674 in the Southshore neighbourhood of Wimauma, FL.
MetroPlaces is the same group developing Epperson, the lagoon community in Wesley Chapel that will mark the first in the nation. The other two lagoon communities, Brightwater in Fort Meyers and Connected City in Pasco County are slated break ground soon as well.
Prices for a townhouse or a single-family home are estimated to start at $200s and over $500s. The number of homes to be built is estimated around 2500.
The concrete lagoons are surrounded by sandy beaches that can range anywhere from 7 to over 10 acres. The water is always crystal clear and drinkable due to a patented ultra-sonic filtration system. The water depths increase the further out you go, up to around 9 feet.
