My Sons and Those Like Him Are Why You Can Be a Home Owner!

By

I am not just being biased because he is my son.  However, this is only my opinion.  My son who served in our armed forces and defended our country for the past five years returns home today.  He joined shortly after 9/11.

In many parts of the world home ownership is not a dream let alone a reality.   We are very lucky in our country anyone can own a home if they have the means to pay for it.  If you have a dream and work hard you can own as many homes as you want!  There is no limit!

It is a special day for me.  I am very proud of my sons (I have two who have served our country, one of which that still is.), yet proud does not really descibe the feeling.  As his mom, all I ever wanted was for him to reach his dreams in lifel

I am in the position to help others make their dreams of homeownership become a reality.  I feel very priviledged to hold this position.  It is my son others who serve beside him, who has made my dreams come true.

Nannette, you are so right. Without our men and women in uniform who knows where we would be. They're doing a great job so we can continue to live and fulfill our dreams. Thanks to all of them.

Great Post!

Nannette, What a nice post!  Good for you and thanks to your sons for serving our country.  I have been missing you, glad to see you back.  I am now going to go MIA for a bit.  I have been so busy I just don't have it in me to post much right now.  Have a good day and good luck to your son on finding a home!

Thank you and you're welcome!  It's OK to be biased when it comes to your sons (I tell my Mom that all the time)!

Nannette thank your son for his service to our country. I know what he is talking about since I too saw countries where home ownership was not a reality when I served many years ago. Good post.

We are very fortunate to have young people like your son willing to serve in the military for all of us. As the wife of a career Naval officer - now retired - I recognize the sacrifices he is making. Know that as hard as it his for him - and for you - he will grow from the experience. God bless him.

Nanette-A heartfelt Thank You to you & your sons.  I am the mom of a future Marine- he leaves for Boot Camp after highschool graduation in June.  I never wanted to be a soldiers mom, but I do want to support him in all he does & this is what he has chosen.  My best to all of you.

Nannette,

Way to go to you!, for rising a great son(s) I am a 20 Veteran myself and know the struggles they go thru. The VA has some great loan programs that allow soliders and sailors to purchase homes, all Military men and women should take advantage of them. Saturday is Armed Forces Day! (May 17th ) so EVERYONE thank the guys that keep you free. A thank you goes along way. It at least lets them know people are thinking about what they are doing. Remember That ''Freedom is not Free''

Wow Thanks for all the wonderful comments!  I spent the day yesterday helping him pack & unpack and load stuff and unload stuff.  It was great having him home!  It is sad seeing him all grown up in a way, he was just a joy to raise but I am right proud of him & his brothers and very grateful.
