Predecessor Energy of the Pollock-Krasner House from a Feng Shui Perspective

Over the weekend I had the pleasure of visiting the Pollock-Krasner House in East Hampton, NY.  Having a Bachelor's in Fine Arts, this was truly a treat to see their home and barn in-person as this is where some of their most famous paintings were created.

What does the Pollock-Krasner House have to do with Feng Shui and predecessor energy? It's a great example for sharing how Feng Shui goes beyond just moving furniture and artwork selection. Predecessor energy referrers to the history of a space and investigate the type of energetic imprint placed onto the aura of a home, workspace, and objects.

Stepping into the farm home and barn of Pollock and Krasner, you could truly sense the energy of both. I literally got chills down my back (in a good way) and felt so inspired! It was very surreal to be standing in the same spots that both Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner once stood. This is one quick example of what it means to see and sense the energy of those who once occupied a space, also known as 'predecessor energy.'

This is an image of the first studio space inside the farm home. Eventually, Pollock moved to the barn where Autum Rhythm, Convergence, Blue Poles and many of his other masterpieces where created between 1946-1952.

As for Pollock and Krasner's personal story, it was no fairy tale by any means. That is another side to predecessor energy you need to be mindful of. If you happen to move into a home that has noticeably 'sha' or draining chi from those who once occupied the space, you could conduct a space clearing and Feng Shui the internal and external environments to help refresh and transform the energy for the better.

Good Morning Laura - this is really very educational for me.  I would also love to visit that home.  My mother was an artist.
