The Ballantyne Breakfast Club's August meeting, known as the "Annual Back To School" meeting, is being held this Saturday, August 12th. This annual meeting is one of the most well-attended of all the Ballantyne Breakfast Club meetings.
The August 12th meeting is a great opportunity to meet the new Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Superintendent, Clayton Wilcox, along with members and representatives from CMS.
Topics to be covered at the meeting include updates on the accomplishments of the last school term along with the goals and objectives for the coming school term. As the CMS Board and school management were faced with numerous difficult decisions in the past year, this meeting will provide the public an opportunity to directly address questions to Superintendent Wilcox and other school representatives, including current CMS Board representatives, who have been invited to attend.
Representatives from both Wingate University and Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) will also be present at Saturday's meeting. They will provide updates on advanced educational opportunities available at their respective Ballantyne campus locations.
Saturday's meeting of the Ballantyne Breakfast Club is one of six meetings held throughout the year by The Ballantyne Breakfast Club -- in February, April, June, August, October, and December. All meetings are open to the public at no cost. The Ballantyne Breakfast Club is now in its 17th successful year of providing opportunities for Ballantyne residents to meet and to learn about community events and priorities.
Whether you've lived in Ballantyne for many years or are a newcomer, the Ballantyne Breakfast Club meetings are a "must go" to stay on top of neighborhood developments. But keep in mind, you don't need to live in Ballantyne to be welcomed to Ballantyne Breakfast Club meetings.
