Tanglewood is the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, located in the Berkshires in western Massachusetts. I have been coming to Tanglewood for forty years, but for the last five I have lived in the area and worked there. It is a blessing. Other folks get excited when they see someone famous. I get psyched when I see the head of parking in the grocery store. We have never met but I wave to her every time I go.
Years ago the evenings used to get really cold, as in sleeping bag necessary and coat required. The years and the weather has changed. Now the heat and humidity linger and rain is much more prevalent throughout the season. Global Warming is real and the Berkshires is a good example.
Tonight I'm scanning tickets at Ozawa Hall, the smaller venue on the grounds. It is lovely now and will probably be warm tonight. Come and see the scenery and hear the music yourself. You'll be glad you did.
