I am reminded of the fable of the Emperors new clothes. Paraphrasing the story, the King believes what he is told about clothes of such magnificence that they remain invisible and because he is feared by everyone, no one says anything to him when parades around naked showing off his "clothes". This is what happened to the Democrats when they lost the election
LEGEND IN YOUR OWN MIND
Everything they were doing before hand was controversial, once-sided and not necessarily for the right reasons and definitely not for the American peoples interest. When Democrats lost the supposed "sure-thing" election, they had that moment the Emperor had when he discovered he was really naked
CHILDREN RUNNING THE GOVERNMENT?
Life is full of these lessons but what really counts is how one bears up under their fall, learns from it, gathers their strength & rises to begin again. I am sorry to say that what I see the Democrats doing is closer to childish, immature & heavy-handed conduct that makes one wonder: How did you get this job?
FOR EXAMPLE
Every-time there is a vote that is either being supported by Republicans or the people who elected everyone, the Democrats can be counted on to NO VOTE and NO SHOW consistently. Well if I knew they wouldn't participate, I wouldn't want them there to begin with. This type of behavior fails all!
AMERICAN WAY
I do not care for either the two parties or have love for one over another. I love the American way & the people who live in it & on it and for all it stands. I want to see my neighbors & friends prosper, be safe & live a full & abundant life. I am not satisfied with Congress & all the rest of these people's performance
NOT GETTING WHAT WAS PROMISED or OUR MONIES WORTH
We are not asking for favors or special privileges. NO! We want what we thought we elected and paid for! Our tax money, which is lavishly spent on government can afford to find us the best that money can buy. Instead, we get this. I wouldn't mind so much if everything was running right as rain. It is NOT!
WHO LIKES HYPOCRISY?
When I found out that congress gets a large subsidy for their own health care and is not able to set up the same or something very close for the rest of America, that large dose of hypocrisy makes you want to choke. It doesn't go down well. Meanwhile, people suffer while they go about without a health care
MEET... TALK and VACATION
All these vacations, sessions and the like where they all go on vacation for one reason or another is another hard pill to swallow. Go anywhere you want on the public dime as long as you finished your work assigned. Not these people. They go with full pay and benefits work undone public be damned
WE ARE BEING ROBBED
They don't finish what is started, delay when they can and have become arrogant about it. Can you imagine an employee doing this anywhere? Think of doing this? How about they collect full pay/perks while doing this for the insult to the injury! This should turn every tax-paying Americans stomach
AMERICA the BEAUTIFUL
America is a rich & powerful country with resources with a very impressive and expensive (blood) start-up, has longevity and a promising future bar none. There are waiting lists to get into the country because of what we the people already know & experience. I get this is the place to be & live
FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE?
I don't care for the Government and its role. If these people do not fix what is broken, then let me ask this: Who will? We elect and pay people as well as support them to go get the peoples business done. We are clear as a country what that is. We lack the getting it done part and I have this to say about that
YOUR EXCUSES ARE YOUR OWN
I am not interested in stories just results. Pass health care that makes the rest of the world jealous. Lower our taxes already. Get the job market buzzing again so we all prosper & continue to make the entire country safe inside & around our borders without fail. There is so much to be done....
THIS IS NOT A REQUEST
I am tired of hearing about the in-fighting, disagreements, stalling and tit for tat. If the Democrats are not going to show-up, vote, support or bring about changes, I get it! Your message has been received. Turn in your notice and move on so we can hire and elect someone else who will perform
GET-IN or GET-OUT
I listen to some of these Senators who speak and complain, grandstand, argue and procrastinate with such elegance and determination something that only practice and becoming good at it would produce. I hope that when election time comes, those that didn't perform are outed. Others should give notice
SEVEN YEARS?
As far as Republicans go, I cannot believe that for seven years no one has come up with a health program & perfected it and didn't have it ready to go in regards to health care. Yes, its complicated but seven years says it is doable. What do the people get instead? Zero. Health care is at risk for Americans
"WE" ARE SPEAKING OUT
In the decades I have been around, I have always been busy with my own affairs and hoped for the best with who ever was in government to do their best. Today, I have become so aware of the dysfunction, indifference and lack of results ; its so bad that it compels you to speak out... thus this post
SHARE THE SHAME
I want results. Not passive responses, promises or fantasy visits to a brighter future rhetoric. Results don't lie but people do. Get the liars out! Get the doers in! Who do these people really think they are? We need public servants and public service not ego-maniacs and power-mongers. Shame on all of you
