The Proven Open House Strategy That Gets New Listings

You’re a successful real estate agent.  You don’t have time to hold an open house …

Hold on!  It’s time to get a Mindset Shift.  Open Homes are not something you “graduate” from but rather it’s something you need to “gravitate” towards.   The reality is that open houses can always create a lot of new leads, new listings and generate revenue in your business. Success through open houses start with having the right mindset.

Check out this video where Chris Suarez, Keller Williams agent from Portland, provides a deep dive into his proven Open House process that enabled him to rebuild his business in new markets … not once, but twice!

I will put it on hold and watch it.  Lately I have not dressed up professionally.  working on the house with short while showing homes in the 90 degree house without A/C.

I need to look more professional.

How can this be drawn out to encompass other areas, I wander. I think there are a lot of things we can do.

Putting it on hold might work in some circles and aspects and I wouldn't put it past it to work very well! Sam Shueh

Many agents have adopted a mindset shift of not using open house marketing, so, any information about open houses will be met with stiff resistance. This reminds me of my days of competing for a starting position on the college football team many years ago. Nine athletes were all competing for the same position, yet only one could start and play and the goal was the same regardless of who started.

It's the performance of the player that dictates the outcome and not the event or in this case an open house. Fortunately for me, I started and played and our team won many games including a national football championship.

Whether open houses are useful depends on the area - and the customs there. In our small town you could hold open houses every day, advertise them to the hilt, and still - no one would come.

Hmmm.... lead capture advertising. Not terribly helpful.

I was looking forward to checking it out - open house tips are always helpful - but the request to share my contact information was a turn off. I'll pass.

I was hoping for a little more from this post. But this wasn't bad either. All the best!

I agree with Jeff about sharing the contact information. That can be tricky. Good luck with everything. :) Cc: Jeff Dowler

I too agree with Jeff and Laura on request of our contact information.  I can see that this more meant for the general public then our internal sharing here. Thank you for the post.
