We have tomatoes in our home garden and Chef Dolores has been purchasing a variety of tomatoes at our local farmers' markets. They are so good at this time of the year and it is a good time to share recipes.

Unfried Green Tomatoes with Fresh Tomato Gravy | MyRecipes.com. These are some of the best fried green tomatoes that I have made and they're baked not fried. The tomato sauce that goes with it makes the dish.

Hi Roy --- when it comes to tomatoes, homegrown is definitely preferred -- you know the kind that actually still look like a tomato when they are sliced?

Red, pink, or green, tomatoes are just about my favorite food and when it is heirloom season in California I alwasy eat them when I am in San Francisco.

Ahh, you hit my favorite, Roy! I'm still on a soft diet (oral surgery) and will be until October so, I'm pureeing the tomatoes from my garden now!  LOL
