CRASH! BAM! POW! It’s that time of year to let the latent geek out for a bit of Comic Con contact. Dust off the leotards and the carved foam body armor and gather the tribe for some Nerd Generation gyrations. BYS (Beam yourself) over to the Hawaii Con Center and get your geek on!

The Amazing Hawai‘i Comic Con returns to Honolulu this month, featuring an all-star team of popular culture icons to the 2017 show. Headlined by William Shatner and the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation, the Con will also feature creators and stars from the world of Disney, Star Wars, Spider-Man and Power Rangers.

The third annual convention will take place at Hawaii Convention Center Aug. 25-27. The event’s guest list will thrill the most die-hard comic book fans, but the weekend also offers entertainment for the average pop culture consumer, including special “Force Friday” door-buster specials for Star Wars fans, a Saturday costume contest that is always a visual spectacle, and a kids’ costume parade on Sunday (Kids’ Day).

I guess I am out of touch, Kimo Stowell . I just don't get Comic Con events. A bunch of adults who refuse to accept the reality of our existence. And the 'stars' that attend these events must have escaped from the rest home for aging stars?
