As a realtor one of the best ways to market yourself is as an expert - in what ever your specialty happens to be. Are you and expert in Short Sales? Maybe your area of expertise is ultra-luxury estate homes. What are you an expert in? What would you like to be considered an expert in? Smart Blogging can make you an expert in your field overnight.
First the Blog needs to be named something that specifically addresses your area of expertise. Calling your blog Joanne's Blog might identify it, but it is a wasted opportunity to label yourself as an expert. Don't be shy! Joanne Realtor's Short Sale Report. Now all of the search engines will start to pair our mythical agent's name with Short Sales.
Every time you post a blog make sure the title has something to do with your area of expertise. Credit yourself as the writer directly under the title (by Joanne Realtor), and then fill the tag words with words that are frequently searched on the topic of your expertise.
You'll be amazed at how quickly you will be regarded as an expert. You'll even find that you have been quoted as an expert in other people's blogs and articles.
Using your blog to become and expert in your field isn't hard or time consuming; it just takes thought and persistence. Don't just blog - blog smart!
