Whooops

I'm posting this more for it's visual aspects than anything else.

My wife and I were on our way to a property auction in downtown Charleston today. A couple of blocks before we got to our destination we passed this.

It was enough to make me stop and get the camera out.

Prop me up!

As I don't know the reason it has been left like this a present, I think it's use must be for a caption competition. No prizes, but have fun.

So funny! Good blog.  Love the comment about the airy feeling to the 1st floor.

Alan, Does it come with a ladder?  Imagine carrying groceries (or furniture!!!) into that house!

I recently visited my daughter in Oakland Ca. She lives in a neighborhood that dates back to 1905. Because of historic preservation laws you cant just tear a home down and start over. As a result many homes, including hers, have undergone a complete renovation, from the foundation up. And to dig out the old and pour a new foundation you have to lift the house out of the way.

I saw several homes in her neighborhood that looked just like  your photo. They were getting their new foundations

Alan, "Raise the roof, and the building goes with it"

Looks like a major liability suit waiting to happen. Can't believe they don't have it secured so nobody can get under it or near it.
