Update on The Preserve Community in Carlsbad August 2017

Construction is proceeding well at the new planned community of The Preserve under construction here in northeast Carlsbad, adjacent to Oceanside. Buyers looking at homes for sale in Carlsbad, especially new ones, will be interested in this new community.

The town homes in Agave (the first community at The Preserve to be released) that are on the market have been selling well, as far as those listed in the MLS indicates – there may be other sales not noted in the MLS. So far 12 homes have sold in 2017 at an average price of $537,446. There are 3 homes listed for sale (priced from $532,990 to $585,990) and 3 that are in pending status. There is a lot of interest and homes are selling in less than a month on average.

Preparations (e.g., trenching) are well under way in the other areas of the community where The Preserve will offer single family detached homes and 2 other villages.  Several other townhome-style buildings are under construction as you can see in these current photos and should be ready for release to buyers soon.

More updates will be forthcoming as I get more information on these additional neighborhoods including pricing, especially for the single family detached homes.

It is always fun to watch a community pop out of the dirt from nothing.  I bet buyers are anxiously awaiting the completion of this project.

Jeff I am always amazed when in the middle of nowhere a community begins and next thing you know it is a little village with all the amenities... reminds me when I cam out for a visit from Boston oh about 24+ years ago and they were building Newport Beach developments... and wow a few years later who knew:) Endre

Hi Belinda Spillman  - it's a pretty amazing process to watch. There have been at least 6 planned communities built here since I moved to Carlsbad and some of the transformations are pretty impressive.

Endre Barath, Jr.  - the landscape, and cityscape, can really change over time. We've seen lots of change here, but perhaps a dozen or more, high-rise condo buildings in downtown since I move here in 2005.
