Too much of a good thing...?

By
Real Estate Agent with St. Charles County, Missouri - Prudential Alliance Realtors

The St. Louis county, Missouri and St. Charles county, Missouri areas are having the wettest spring in recorded history.  If your basement is ever going to leak, now is probably when it will do it.

If you're trying to sell your home (and even if you're not), make sure the sump pump is working.

Also, make sure your gutters and downspouts are draining properly - not filled with debris from nearby trees.  Make sure the water runs away from your home and doesn't collect in a pool near the foundation.

If you have any of these issues, this is a good time to have it rectified.

Is is such a good thing if it rains everyday?

Judy - Rain is usually a good thing.  For the past 2 years, this area experienced a drought.  So, on the one hand, we are happy about the rain.  On the other hand...we're getting pretty soggy...  :)
