Photo Preview

By
Real Estate Agent with Better Properties Seattle

I am finding that the owners of homes like to participate in the photo taking and selection process BEFORE the photos appear in the mls.  We are hoping for a sunny day tomorrow, but I did some staging and photo taking today, as did the owner.

I am posting my favorites here for the owners to see.  It's easier than emailing all of them.  Easier for me, and easier for them to view.  I've never tried this before, and I would put them up on Zillow, but there's a $5,000 fine for pre-advertising a listing.  Zillow would require me to post the price and address.  So I'm trying out using Active Rain as a photo preview place for my clients.

I'm going to have to make a second post out of this for the additional photos.

If you have any suggestions or would like to help us choose from the photos below, feel free to comment.

Terrific photos Ardell!  The only thing is it doesn't look like anyone lives there!  It looks like a show suite..maybe a wee bit sterile.....I like to see some life and living.......stuff on the kitchen counters ( not a lot ...but)......coffee table..fireplace mantle?  Maybe thats just me though....?  Cool house though and great idea sharing this way.  One thing I've found though...when you e-mail your client the 'blog' photo.....they get all the comments as well........I'm not sure I always want my clients to see all the comments!  :-)

Thanks Liz!  Some magazines on the coffee table?  I do think the island needs something, I'm wondering why we didn't use the stools.

I think it's great if people put there $.02 in before it goes into the mls.  I'd rather hear it from the agents here BEFORE we post it in the mls, rather than after.

Thanks for the comment!

I have a big clear glass bowl that we can put fresh fruit in for the island.

I agree there needs to be something on the kitchen island.  The exterior shot is fabulous.

The light in the foyer behind the arched doorway is really distracting me, my eye is drawn to it and I skip the rest of the room, maybe it's just me :)

ARDELL - great pictures and really wonderful idea about the pictures - an idea I intend on stealing!  Great tip - good luck with the listing!  The trees look like a lot of settings on the Eastside, but also in Lake Forest Park...

Courtney, this house is by Thorton Creek in Meadowbrook.  The creek runs up the side behind those bushes.

Michelle,

I'll have at least two shots of the living room.  The one you mention is supposed to highlight the flow from the entryway.  It will be used in unison with the shot from the other angle highlighting the exterior views.
