This challenge is open to all Active Rain members, regardless of the industry you work in. I’ll lay out the ground rules for Real Estate Brokers and Agents first, then for all others.

I read frequently in the ‘Rain references to “full service” and the connection between “full service” and the fee charged for “full service”. But what does “full service” really mean? This is NOT an invitation to discuss fees/commissions, and is not limited from those who consider their business model to be other than “full service”. We all know what we do for our Sellers, and the “list” we discuss with them when discussing the possibility of taking their listing.

Part 1 of this challenge is for you to tell us your definition of “full service” or “your service” when it comes to listing a Seller’s property for sale.

Specifically, what is on your list of what you provide as your “value proposition” to the Seller. This can be bullet points such as:

  • Pricing Advice
  • Virtual Tour
  • Seller’s Home Warranty

and all other items on your list. Tell us why each item on your list is important to the Seller. I know some items will be self evident, but other items may need more explanation.

The blog post should be at least 300 words and have at least one photo / graphic / video. For this post you will receive (in early October) 1,000 points!

To earn points for Part 2 of this challenge you MUST have completed Part 1 of this challenge.

Part 2 of this challenge is to explain a key element that is on all of our lists.

Pricing Advice.

What is your method for establishing a pricing recommendation for the listing, and how do you convince a Seller who has an unrealistic perception of what their property is worth to list at a realistic price, or if you are willing to take an over-priced listing, what the game plan is for getting the property SOLD.

The blog post should be at least 300 words and have at least one photo / graphic / video. For this post you will receive (in early October) 1,000 points!

To earn points for Parts 3 and 4 of this challenge you MUST have completed Parts 1 and 2 of this challenge.

Parts 3 and 4 of this challenge is for you to pick two of the other items on your list in Part 1 and write a blog post for each item.

Detail the importance of that item in getting the property SOLD, and perhaps provide an example of when that item has been the determining factor in getting the property SOLD.

Each blog post should be at least 200 words and have at least one photo / graphic / video. For each post you will receive (in early October) 500 points!

So there are 3,000 points up for grabs!

Complete Part 1 - Earn 1,000 points
Complete Parts 1 and 2 - Earn 2,000 points
Complete Parts 1, 2, 3 & 4 - Earn 3,000 points!

You MUST leave a comment on this post by September 30th, 2017 11:59pm (Pacific Time) with links to each of the posts you are submitting for this challenge.

For Active Rain members in other industries:

Part 1 - Tell us your “value proposition” - what’s on the list of things you do for your clients and customers?

Part 2 - What do you consider the most important item on your list of the things you do, and why?

Parts 3 and 4 - Pick any other two items on your list and explain why each of them is important to your clients/customers.

The same blog post requirements apply, Parts 1 & 2 a minimum of 300 words, Parts 3 and 4 a minimum of 200 words, and each must have at least one photo / graphic / video.

Complete Part 1 - Earn 1,000 points
Complete Parts 1 and 2 - Earn 2,000 points
Complete Parts 1, 2, 3 & 4 - Earn 3,000 points!

Remember, you MUST leave a comment on this post by September 30th, 2017 11:59pm (Pacific Time) with links to each of the posts you are submitting for this challenge.
